Hi we have a Sunncamp Pathfinder tent, which we love, but trying to fit me, hubby, 4 yr old and 15 month old all in the sleeping area is a little of a tight squeeze, also the living area is now feeling small.
Anyone had or got kids same age as ours? What tent do you have? How do you make it work?
Just been camping for 2 nights, 2nd night ok but 1st a nightmare as they both insisted sleeping in with us (a double airbed, kingsize sleeping bag doesn't fit us all:)) we couldn't fit their 2 readybeds in 2 :( xxx

For 4 people you need at least a 6 berth tent and many 8 berth tents take similar times to pitch so if you want plenty of space I would suggest looking at 8 berth tents.
I can HIGHLY recommend the Khyam Ontario 8 XC and several other forum users agree with me - great bit of kit, easy to erect and gives you large bedrooms (2+2+4)and acres of living space.
It can grow and adapt with your family as you don't need to put up all the bedroom pods if you don't want them.

we dont buy into the "you need 6 berth for 4 people" or hydrostatic head fabrics stuff.
We camp without all the gadgets but always with canvas - and with kids that seems to work just great
Our 4 berth Dutch Pyramid from Obelink serves just fine for 2 adults, 5 y.o., 3y.o.. It goes up in minutes solo. and a matching tarp makes an outdoor area if needed
Only compromise is at night the clothes bags go in the porch and during the day back in the bedroom. We use self inflating mats for everyone (loads better then airbeds, wish we had changed years ago) but did just move over to sleeping bags from a duvet for the kids. Keep the tent organised and there is plenty of room to play/draw etc if it rains
Cotton is seriously great for kids as, even in the recent seriously hot weather, the kids can kip in the tent in the afternoon - dont even try that in a plastic tent!
When our pyramid starts to look small (as kids grow) we will get the eldest (or both) a pup tent of their own - cotton of course

just to add, looked at pics of your tent and it seems pretty spacious, for a few days at least. I am wondering if all the baby things are making it hard work - when our youngest was out of bottles/nappies etc camping became so much easier as we dont need as much kit. We have a hefty Cabanon frame tent but dont think we will use it (over Pyramid) except for really long off season trips when drying space can be useful

Love your camping ethic littleskink.
Any chance of you posting some photos from your recent camping adventure? Would love to see more of your Eldorado.
I have a 3 berth Dutch Pyramid for myself and my 3 yr old. To be honest, I do like to have space in a tent, as LS says, it is a good idea to keep things organised. I hate to have clothes strewn all over.
