Bought our Kalahari 8 three weeks ago as 2 days before our daughters b'day party the forecast changed to rain, and it was a good excuse for the purchase.
Needless to say, on the day the heavens opened and 8 girls, 2 boys had a great tine playing party games in the tent whilst listening to the rain pelt the tent! B'day tea also held in the tent with parents in attendance and there was still loads of room!
We didn't have the bedroom pods in for the party hence the large area 21sqm, and the tent didn't leak one bit despite heavy continuous rain! DD and I spent the night in the tent and had a lovely nights sleep and still we were dry!
No problem, sharing is the basis of sites like these.
Go Outdoors have some good prices on their Hi-Gear tents, but take a mobile with Internet access with you as I found a couple of tents were priced higher in-store than on their website. When I asked the staff they said they would respect the lower price.
Some friends recently bought a Hi-Gear Gobi 4 at Go Outdoors, and were not impressed. Took ages to put up and then broke at on their first trip. Go Outdoors wouldnt replace it as it was 'wind damage' rather than a manufacturing fault.
They look rubbish quality compared to Vango or Outwell, with puny poles and little reinforcement. The smaller ones might be fine though, as they wouldnt catch the wind like a big one.

I've got the Corado 6 and we love it. Only used it a few times but it's great and has great space.
One thing we did notice is that when it was really windy the the poles on the canopy bit did move quite a bit. They have steel poles at the side but a fibreglass bit along the top so it's like one pole sitting inside the other. Not sure if this is part of the reason or if it was just VERY windy. It was very windy though.

I think that's very harsh to be honest. I would suspect that's a view not shared by Hi Gear owners in general. Like alll manufacturers, there will be rogue tents that slip through, neither Vango, nor Outwell are immune to those. The comments on the Tent Reviews show that Hi Gear tents are highly rated by those who own them, so it would be unfair to put some one off buying what is a good value tent, just because of one experience. The Zenobia 6 was Go Outdoors' biggest selling tent last season according to someone who worked there and told me.
Funnily enough I was looking at this tent today in Go outdoors. We have a Vango Diablo 900 and I rarely see another tent that comes anywhere near to it for space. But I was impressed by the Corado and would seriously consider it as a replacement. I can't comment on the quality - but space wise definitely!
