The Weathermaster's front entrance looks almost identical to that of the Evolva.
Some of us Evolva owners have bought the Vango large canopy which is a great fit. I saw one on an Evolva in the flesh and it looked great in the Black and Mercury colourway and gave a very generous entrance way.
Can pick them up here and they are pukks brand new items.
This gets asked now and again. Here was the last time.
From that you will see that Coleman recommend their premium canopy (if you can find one to buy), but the Vango and Gelert Horizon (Hi Gear Zenobia) canopies are good bets.
The tent is indeed a great tent slightly let down with no dedicated extension.
William200200 - This is spot on. Plus I'm sure the colours would match what the colours of out Weathermaster!
Is this the 8+2 or the 4+2 extension canopy? Could I also ask where you bought yours?
Thanks in advance
Gary
It's the 8 plus 2. We got it from Yeomens on the internet. It's in a long thin bag but it's quite heavy due to the steel poles but it's strong and sturdy. Get yourself some 'cling-ons' and some extra guys as it only comes with 2 ruck sack style clips on the ends of the fabric which clearly don't fit on the Weathermaster. I got 4 which i peg to the ground behind the tent with my deltas which seem to anchor it pretty well. I'll try to find some more pictures...
William200200 - Thank you so much. I was seriously considering splashing out on a new tent as I didn't think I could get a canopy that worked well with the weathermaster. I've just picked up a "used once in excellent condition" 8+2 from eBay for £45. I'm well pleased and you've just saved me a fortune on buying an Outwell bear lake............well for now anyway ;->.
Cling-ons are like this but if you Google it i'm sure you can get them cheaper than on this site.
They are 2 pieces of plastic with 'teeth' what you sandwich your fabric between then attach a guy line to the end. The force of the guy line pulling on the end tightens the grip of the teeth onto the fabric.
Get some pics on here when you go away next, can't wait to see it!!!
