We've been looking at weekender tents and many thanks to people for their advice. We have narrowed our list down to the Outwell Nevada S and Vango Icarus 500. For value for money and space the Vango seems more favourable, plus it has hte optin of the canopy. Has anyone experienced any difficulty with the lower HH rating on the Vango?

Hi Ian, as mentioned in my post to Hughjazz, have you checked out the Virginia from Outwell?. The HH is 3000.

Thank you for your reply. I have checked out the Virginia and it looks a good tent. Do you know if you can get a canopy for it?

Hi Ian, I've not seen a canopy advertised yet. We opted for the Virginia as it seemed quite bright inside, and the bedrooms are detachable. We've not had a chance to pitch the tent yet, but there are quite a few reviews on this site which sound good.

The other thing that we liked were the fly nets on the doors. We were lucky enough to have a look at the three tents together at our local Yeomans in Wigan, (Icarus,Carolina, and Virginia), before making a decision.
