Hi
The Peapod came out at the same time as the Fazer dome...These were the first affordable techy tents. I say affordable the Peapod was £99.99 in 1982/3 when they were released.
Up to this point most people were using light weight ridge tents such as Robert Saunders tents.
Ref the price it just goes to show how cheap tents are now, a similar tent with a better spec from Vango would cost about the same as the Peapod was back then.

Gary.
I've now come into possession of the Peapod again. (Its a long story), But if you still fancy a wee swap for something or other let me know. I'll take photos and give it a thorough check obviously as I've not seen it for a year but it was camped in earlier this week and still seems to be in decent condition for its age.

Cool campers use Delta Pegs.

Hi Emma,
I can't help with the desperate search, unfortunately, but I am somewhat perplexed as to why dad didn't happen to mention such "great sentimental value", before allowing his daughter to drag it along to a festival... presumably only to return in a poor state... or not return at all!
I also wonder just how much sentimental value a complete replacement would hold!
... I also wonder whether dad is even currently aware that daughter is indeed, at this very moment, searching for a replacement as a matter of urgency!
But hey... that's just me, being a nosy git!
I wish you well in your search... "Name your price", you say? Hmmm...
Ooh... May I ask, are you an only daughter, or does your father have others to turn to?

Mine has survived the house move and tent cull. It is now the only tent I own....
