You don't say how old it is,how often it has been used, or whether the flysheet leaked water because some thing was touching it during rain?
As a guide I have always re-proofed my cotton tents after about five years. I always used to use Fabsil, but have recently tried the NIkwax re-proofer as it also offers a fade protector.
Earlier this year I came across a product called Storm, re-proofed my daughter's tent with it, but it hasn't rained since.
