If it really only has to be one, get the extension. That and a Hartford XL will probably require an XL pitch too most of the time but it's easier to cut down a carpet to fit a tent than it is to bodge a non-matching canopy onto one. Debbie is right, tents often get discontinued, the Hartford has been around for a while and the accessories will be like gold dust if the Hartford is taken off the marker.

I agree with the above, get the extension first.  It makes so much difference to have an extention on a tent.  You can do all your cooking under cover and it's great to be able to have the main tent door open even when it's raining outside. We would not be without ours.

You make do with throws, rugs and mats to make the tent cozy inside until you get the proper carpet for the tent.
