Hi, we're new to camping but having borrowed by brothers tent for a long weekend we are hooked! So now we wanedt to invest in our own. I spent a lot of time researching tents and ordered a Coleman Cypress based on the price and reviews overall of Coleman tents. Have I made a mistake?! Will I have a problem getting a pitch because of the size of the tent? There was no review specifically of the Cypress but does anyone have one or know someone with one??
Thanks

The only problem you will have is the large footprint the tent takes up.
670cm x 770cm.
A lot of sites including the C&C Club will insist you take up 2 pitches or a Jumbo pitch at extra cost.
The maximum unit size on C&C Club sites is 9m x 5m.
Its usually the width of the tent (exceeding 5 metres)that generally causes the problem. This is because sites insist on a minimum 6m between units as a fire break

We haven't had any problem getting a pitch, but we do have to pay for a large pitch on sites that have charges for larger pitches which is fair enough.
It's a fabulous tent, plenty of room if the weather turns bad and never a drop of condensation in the living area or bedrooms.
The only downside is there is no way I could pitch it on my own - my main problem is I'm not tall enough to get the fly sheet over, but my friend can do it and she is about 5'8".
