Good afternoon all!

I'm a newbie to the forum but have been using the reviews for a while. We've narrowed our tent choice down to 2, and am hoping owners of either tent could give us some opinions please.

Choice 1: Vango Tigris 600 - my hubby prefers this

Choice 2: Coleman Coastline 6 Deluxe
My choice, purely because it's about £40 cheaper and looks pretty much the same?! (Lower HH at 2000 though)

We camped last year with a Skandika 8 person which was far too big for our needs and we struggled putting it up. This year I will be 7 months pregnant so need something easy to put up, which these 2 tents seem to be. We will be camping with an 8 year old boy and an almost 2 year old girl, so like the idea of 3 bedrooms. My hubby insists on a SIG after the draughts and leaks we suffered last year.

Does anyone have any opinions generally on the 2 makes - is one better than the other at all? I swore by my dome Gelert 3 man for years, never let me down in all sorts of weather and feel a little lost with all the choice nowadays!!

Many thanks
Corinna

Couldn't comment on the Coleman tent but we have a Tigris 600 and love it. Its never let us down and its so easy to put up. We have 2 little girls and the tent still has plenty of room for us all and seems so spacious. I'd fully recommend the Tigris.

It takes a lot to come near, let alone beat the Vango quality, please do not miss out on this great tent for a measly £40

We have a tigris 800 and love it.Its the little things that got our attention like the fact you can lower the sig down in the doorway for daytime use.We have the side canopy and its perfect for cooking and eating in.The tbs system for strong winds is another nice touch.
Easy enough to put up too.Probably about 30 mins pitching with the side canopy and then all the tweaking of guys etc.

OH recently decided to buy a tent that could be pitched in 10 mins solo or with one of the kids to help. We ended up with an Icarus 500. There was a Coleman tent (sorry, can't remember which one!) that for £50 more came with carpet, canopy and windbreak which seemed like a bargain but really the Vango knocked spots of it!!

That's one of the selling points for us with a clumsy toddler in tow!!

Thanks everyone for your comments, you've confirmed what we thought. Now the next decision is what colour to go for! Really looking forward to camping this year :-)

We went for blue because the Monty is green, how sad is that Perhaps we'll get a tent in every colour!

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I ordered the Tigris yesterday - went for blue in the end. The green reminded me too much of alcohol fueled holidays in my younger not so sensible days!!
