I have a Jovi which has been damaged.  One pole and one of the articulated joints are damaged. Jovi have gone bust and the phone number is a private house who know nothing aboput Jovi.

Does anyone know where I can get spares or have any spares.

Alternatively does anybody want to acquire my tent for spares, it is a Jovi plus bedroom with curtains etc.

I do not know of this make and couldn't find it on the search site. Maybe you have pics of the tent style?  or the broken poles. Maybe then someone might be able to help you.

I've not heard of it either. Is it a new tent or a very old one?

Found this about a Jovi stand alone tent for a motorhome.
This was one of the answers

The production of Jovi shelters was taken over by Marechal. Its UK distributor used to be a company called Sunside Ltd who's website is RoyeLoisirs. The person you need to contact to find these poles is Carlos Fernandez.

Don't suppose the joints are anything like the Khyam ones?
Might be worth taking your poles into a camping/caravanning shop - a proper independant one where the staff are campers themselves - and seeing if they can help.

Hi Maurice, we also have a Jovi (I did not think that anyone else had been stupid enough to pay that much for a tent that long ago!!!!!) We have had very little use out of ours, and like you, one of our joints was damaged. OHs parents bought a central section to use as a stand alone canopy/gazebo thing which they use very little, so we were able to replace it with one of their joints fairly easily.
I don't think you will have any luck getting spares, Marechal don't seem to make it anymore (I'm not sure they ever did once Jovi folded).
We had a weekend away about 6 weeks ago, and it had been about 12 years since we'd used it - so much for it being easy to put up! It took AGES!!!
You may be able to get a metal joint made, which is what we were looking at doing, before we tore the in-laws' tent apart. Once we've used their's for spares, we too will be up the spout.

I'd buy a newer, cheaper, easier to erect tent myself!

Thanks to all the respondents for your help.  Getting parts from any official supplier loks unavailable.  I have since had a metal part made to rectify the joint.  On the damaged pole I made an amtaeurish repair which may hold.  If not, I will try to get a pole the same size elsewhere.

They are a lovely tent but not easy and quick to erect and take up a lot of room in the car.  So I suspect the eventual resolution mjay be a new lighter tent.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture and will not be using the tent for some time now.

You may get a picture of the Net.

It looks a bit like the one which is my logo but without the flag!

Best wishes,

Oh dear, sounds like it's not such a Bon Jovi. Good luck fixing it - live on a prayer and you'll be half way there :)

Hello Ralph,

Now that I have got the tent repaired we are going to keep it soi will need the bedroom.

Good luck in your endeavours to get one. Despite its drawbacks we love the Jovi and will keep using it.

Best wishes,

Maurice

Hi Maurice,

I realise that tghis thread was some time in the past, but I wondered if you have had a change of heart with regard to selling the bedroom annexe of your Jovi awning?

If so, I would be interested to hear from you as I am looking for one to add to my Jovi.

Many thanks in advance.

Matt

Thought I would reply to the previous posts re Jovi tents. I was curious to see whether any info existed on the net about these tents since manufacture ceased some years ago so here's my story.  I first saw an ad for these tents in a mag around 14 years ago. I contacted the man who designed and sold them and arranged to meet him at Kidderminster Worc's where we went to the local park and he errected a tent in a few minutes watched by a few bemused passers by, I was with a friend of mine who was also interested, we were both impressed and bought 2 tents there and then for £900. the pair. We wanted something that we could throw up quickly outside our motorhomes and the quality of these was outstanding. During the course of that meeting I learnt the story of the start of the Jovi then a few years later why it failed. Both my friend and I still have our tents and would never part with them, parts and repair were still available to me till about 2 years ago. Anyone interested in the rest of the story let me know.

Jovi tents irrc were brought out in the 1990's.They looked like a gazebo and each side panel zipped out to enable you to add bedroom pods and kitchen annexes to suit.

Hi All,

Davidb, I would love to here more of the story. I am surprised to hear you were getting parts up to 2yrs ago. Although I have only had mine Jovi since the start of the year all the internet searches I have done for an annexe & parts have all hit a wall from about 2005 onwards!

Looing forward to part 2 of the post.

Matt

Pearl plant at leisure care services (kingswinford) was the person who made the prototype for Jim Sutherland who designed these tents. I have heard through another thread that pearl has recently retired but her company is still there as far as i know.

She has made items for us in the past and was recommended by Jim if anything unusuall was needed ie: extra large bedrooms, caravan joining panels etc.

So if anyone needs bedrooms or repairs I would give them a call as they will probably have the design plans needed.

Marechel did take over supplying these tents for a short while but dont now, they also supplied the bedrooms so it may be worth a call or email to see if they have any old stock.
