I would appreciate any help/advice resourcing replacement poles for my lokon vario tent...only one pole has splintered and is currently electrical taped up, and still usable. But if I wanted to replace it where do I go... the length of the individual pole is 63.5 cm...the length of the entire section is 6m 63.5cm, and the circumference is 4.4cm approx...not having much luck finding these measurements online. so I wondered if I am looking at it all wrong.
Do I have to buy a larger pole and cut it to size, then re-insert the elastic or do I have to buy the whole 11 connecting poles as a job lot...
thanks Fran

First of all you need the diameter , not the circumference of the pole.
probably 11m or 13mm. you don't need to replace all of them, just the broken section.
any camping shop will have spares , they dont need to be gelert branded . they cost about £3 each.
You may have to cut the new pole to size, they are usually longer than you need.. put masking tape around it and cut with a junior hacksaw, rub with sandpaper to remover any sharp bits.
then you need to undo the elastic and remove the broken pole, re thread elastic and tie off the end . 5 minute job . singe the end of elastic with a flame, and just drop it down through the poles .
Some camping shops will even do this for you.
