Hi,

Great buy.

Its very similar in style to our Sunvalley 6 only with one less pole.

Spread the tent out(on a footprint groundsheet preferably.)

Peg out the back corners.

Thread the rear pole through the sleeve and bend into the ring and pins(slacken the strap off first)
put a rear guy on to hold it upright and then repeat with the other two poles working to the front.
Front guys on then and then peg out/tighten straps as necessary.
Then just insert the canopy pole over the side door

Watch the Outwell video here. It is very good and demonstrates both pitching and the best way to fold the tent up and get it back in the bag (the bag is very generous so you can get it back in after a fairly poor "fold 'n' roll").

The only thing I differ on is the pegging out of the back corners before the pole insertion. I find that whilst this keeps the tent in place it is harder to bend the poles and "ring 'n' pin" them as you are fighting against the pegs. I get the poles in first, then move the tent into position and peg the corners before raising and walking out the poles - try it either way and see which you feel is best.

This is a really easy tent to pitch and take down.

Good deal btw which I saw yesterday in a Go Outdoors mail shot. I got mine on a price match against a Yeomans special weekend sale for £172, but with the canopy I still paid more than you.

You will like this tent, especially with the front extension.

Have to disagree with Sunvalleysue - Peg out all 4 corners of your tent - Loosen off all the webbing straps and start at the FRONT of the tent - open up the front door of the tent before putting the poles in the sleeves - this allows air into the tent (If you start at the back this creates a vaccum effect in the tent making it difficult to lift). Once the tent is standing remember to fully close the front door before pegging out.
