Hi - please help. I've tried loads of dealers and Outwell, but got NOWHERE... here's my issue. I've lost all 3 poles for my Outwell Nevada 3. I know from the Outwell website that the diameters are 9.5mm, 11mm & 12.7mm.

(I've been told that the Nevada 3 and it's more modern version the Nevada S 3 man use the same poles - but I don't know if this is actually the case.)

But I don't know the lengths for each of these diameters - or which sleeves they go in as the original poles were colour coded. So I can't order replacements without this info and Authentic Outwell poles cost more than the tent! (no joke).

So please can someone tell me the length for each diameter and where they go - front, middle or back.

If I wasn't going away on Saturday I'd get my Nevada 3 out & measure the poles for you but I'm in the middle of sorting out all my camping stuff and packing for 6 of us!!

 

However, if you don't get any joy, I'll happily do that when I'm back (25th) - just post on this thread again and I'll see it.

have you tried tentspares.co.uk ,they may be able to help. I needed poles for a vango 500 fireblazer and they are going to help me as they have the specification on my tent hope this is of some interest and you get some new poles .sorted worth a try good luck

No joy I'm afraid - they can't help as Outwell are not forthcoming to them with the info they need to help (as I have also experienced - and even their platinum dealers!) so my only other route is to ask a Nevada 3 owner if they could tell me the lengths, widths and position for each of the 3 poles.

Then I can look around to find the most cost effective way of replacing.

Whilst I can not give you the lengths, as my tent is an M, the 3 / S poles are similar. The poles you want are 12.7mm and 11mm (Outwell sell packs, but they are pricey).

The main poles are made of bottom sections of 12.7 and middle / top sections of 11 (the 9.5mm are the poles for the side door). When an owner gets you the correct lengths and number of sections, getting the pole kits is no problem, but it you are talking 3 or more kits, then it will be costly (my Nevada has 18 off 12.7mm and 15 off 11mm, which would cost me about £110 to replace the lot with genuine Outwell poles- you can get cheaper poles than this of course).
