Hi folks, well me the newbie is still deciding which tent to buy (am single,6'1", 50 and inexperienced lol) so looking for easy pitch, standing room and staying dry etc.

just wondered if anyone owns one and are they any good ? Only 2 reviews on Halfords site so not much to go on. Despite my lack of knowledge/experience I was quite interested by the Tied Arch System amd the steel/fibreglass poles.

As always I look forward to any replies or advice.

My sister has bought the Minok 5 she said the link above is the same tent hope this helps

I bought the Kiowa from Argos Clearance on ebay, which seems to be the same tent as the Minok, but for much less money.

Have only used it once on a camp site in good weather, but erected it in the garden in rain and wind and it stood up well.  It is very easy to erect and has standing height in the middle, but slopes a lot to the front and rear.  Only the steel poles come in contact with the ground, the fibre glass poles attach to the steel poles via ring and pin.  There are reviews of the Kiowa on this website.

I would avoid leaving the inner attached though, as this puts extra strain on the fibre glass poles and I split two pole sections after doing this.  It doesnt take that long to add the inner tent afterwards.
