Has anyone got a Hi gear corado 6 just got a quick question about the sleeping area can the dividing wall be removed so we all sleep in one area, we have two toddlers so prefer not to have a divide between us when sleeping
wouldve asked in store but got put off by another guy (customer) in the shop telling me to avoid it because of the door zip? but after reading reviews on here and go outdoors cant see why?
otherwise ill have to get an 8 and just use the spare room for storage

Hi, we have got the corado 6 (great tent) carn't wait to use it again next week..
now i could be wrong but i'm sure that the dividing wall can either be removed or just unzipped and folded back..if you know what i mean..sorry not much use, we havent used it since last august...
dont be put off re the front door...all you need to do is just move the poles inwards also as the front door doesnt seal all the way round i have brought some sticky back velcro..problem solved...
we went to go outdoors yesterday for more essential supplies and had a nosey around the corado 8,,one hell of a huge tent..heard someone saying tho' that you need 2 pitches for it..
we love the corado 6 loads of room plus we have got the additional canopy..there are 4 of us 2 adults 2 children..had loads of great comments on it last year..you wont be disapointed..

hi
we have never camped before and after going to go outdoors for a look at tents the one we decided we like is the hi gear corado 6.
hope someone can help with a few questions we have.
is hi gear a good make (we were told to go for a khyam tent as they are the best make you can get)
i have read people saying that they paid £250 for the tent ?
like to know where they bought it at that price? go outdoors is £329 i think.
thanks for any advice you can give.

Hi, we have had no problems at all with our Corado 6, when we bought it last july it was on a special offer of £250..
the first time we used it, it rained constantly for about 12 hours, quite heavy at times..also very windy...the tent stood up to the elements brilliantly..didnt let any rain in at all..it was our first ever camping trip aswell. certainly didnt put us off

Hi Maggs. Welcome to UK CS. There's no
reviews of the Corado 6 here but aside from a few tweaks on the front door most users seem very pleased with it for the money.
Hi Gear is Go Outdoors own brand, and in the tents they're made for them by Gelert usually, so should be reasonably OK. Kyham are a good make but really you're best looking at which layout suits your budget, then use the Reviews section here, and ask Q's.
Bear in mind though that Go Outdoors prices change every other day. Check the site regularly and if you've a store close by, nip in and ask staff what deals are coming up. I think you can register for newsletters too. That way you'll be reasonably sure you're getting the biggest bang for your buck.
Good luck
------------- Mike
My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it

Only started camping with the family last year and bought a cheap Suncamp 5 berth off ebay for £50 to get us started as my OH wasn't sure if she would like camping.
After our first lovely dry weekend at a top site (Red Bank Farm near Carnforth, Lancs - highly recommended), the verdict was good so I began to look for a bigger, better tent.
Always liked the look of the Corado (and the Outwell Monty) and just waited till they were on offer at £249.
Verdict after a few uses - Bedroom can easily be split - just unzip and tie back. Front door is tight - just adjust the poles to take some of the tension off - but I will try unclipping from the Poles next time sounds a good idea.
Tent has stood up to some high winds - last time out at Gibraltar Farm were woken at 5.30am by high winds with many around us packing away and one tent disappearing over the fields! Corado moves but stays put.
I'd recommend it, especially at £249 and with the optional canopy at £49 gives fantastic living space.
Now looking at the Carpet - or am I jsut getting soft!
Dave
