Funnily enough, I had 5 tents on a list I was interested in purchasing (one of them).
It wasn't until I saw them pegged out at a Tent Exhibition last month, that they were not quite suitable.
However, the Virginia 5 was a surprise. It ticked all the boxes for my wife and I.
When we got home, I erected it in the garden, to ensure all was well.
It was, so I decided to sleep overnight in it. But my wife spoilt things by deciding to join me. LOL
I considered the matching footprint and carpet. However I opted for Eco-Mats, and an alternative to fitted carpet. (Plastic backed cotton twill sheet 12 ft by 9 ft for 5 GBP from a local Sunday Market)
Obviously people have their own priorities/preferences/requirements, but for both of us it's fine.
We have already used it at a site, and next weekend will use it again.
I did get 2 King Poles to create an awning with the front door. I have posted an image on this site.
Enjoy your first outing.
Before erecting it, undo the velcro strip on the top rear guy line. It's awkward to do it when erected.
Kind regards James
------------- In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.
