Topic: Need a footprint, any ideas where to look

I'm looking for a footprint for a Vango Amazon 800, can't seem to find any and the tent is discontinued. Will another footprint fit? The tent is 750 x 550.

Although one of THESE could do a very good job with a bit of judicious folding.

And THIS would be even better, 5cm short on the sides and extend into the canopy area by 10cm. Cheap too.

A lot of people on here dont bother with a manufacturers footprint, they opt for a builders tarp from the local DIY stores and cut to fit. A lot cheaper

Or you could try one of These I have used one for my discontinued Nebraska, and it was more than adequate. Easy to cut, but very hard to tear or puncture. It offers much better waterproofing than general purpose tarp (which does let water through under pressure!) and it also offers much better insulation. May be more expensive, but well worth the £26, and still way cheaper than a branded footprint.

Hi everyone,

I have just bought an Outwell Idaho L and can't find a footprint or an extension (may not need the extension yet as I haven't used the tent), If I buy a damp proofing membrane as stated by Zenobia could it move about when I put the tent on top (should I put rivets in and peg it down first). Sorry if it's a daft question but I have only been camping once before when I was 8 years old over 30 years ago :-) Does anyone have a video link of putting my tent up? How hard would it be for just me doing it? Why did Outwell stop producing accessories that are still needed by people, not very good service.
