New to this website and this is my first post so here goes! We have a Vango Tamor 500 tent which, until now, has suited our needs well. However, we have a young child and another on the way and really need a bit more space, especially once the kid(s) are in bed.
I like the look of the 2010 premium extension that Vango do but can't work out if it would fit the Tamor 500 because all of the prodct names have changed. I called Vango and the guy on the phone didn't seem too sure.
Does anyone know of any extensions/ canopies that would fit a Tamor 500?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the Vango extensions (the current ones at least) seem to be 310 wide and 220 high, your tent is only 180 high at the front and 270 wide, so it will fit but it won't be perfect. probably be a long way off perfect and sit very messily.

Looking at the tent reviews and pics on this site there is quite a few pics of that tent with canopies attached
Be interesting to find out which one it is.

Yes, i've just had a look. One of the pictures looked just like the premium extension that i saw at a yeomans camping shop today. it looks like it would fit but with a bit of a gap down the side. I suppose it's better that it's higher than the porch on our tent because at least it will go over the top, there would just be a slight gap.

You're going to get some sort of gap between most canopies, or extensions, and a tent. I have the Premium Extension with my Icarus 500, but I think any tent with a front hoop not exceeding the width and height of the premium extension will sit well as there is some room for making the fit tighter by pegging it down a bit closer to the ground.
I've posted this pic before, and I wouldn't recommend using a Vango pop up like I have here, the purpose was just to see if the Premium extension would be suitable for other tents. I think that the picture shows that there is some flexibility in what tents it will fit, particularly if it's got a front hoop as there is an elasticated section which needs to be tucked behind something.
I also have a Vango Tamor 500 tent and wanted more space. I bought the Vango Large Canopy. I have used it twice and am very pleased with it. There are indeed gaps on either side of the tent front entrance, but it does not bother me. I bought it mainly to be able to cook under cover when raining or when very windy. I suspect that the Vango extension is similar in shape and that you will also end up with gaps along the sides of the front entrance. I hope this helped and good luck.

Just thought i'd add an update - after getting helpful advice on this board, I have now bought a Vango Premium Extension and it fits fine on our Tamor 500 - a slight gap but it's fine and the extra space is well worth it.
I did phone Vango to ask them but have to say that the advice was pretty poor, he basically read the list of compatible tents from the brochure and said it wouldn't fit the Tamor 500. When i asked why it didn't fit, he didn't have a clue! i suspect it is because it covers the side door slightly, other than anything to do with the size.
