Cant comment really on the Khyams as I've only got the Kyham sherpa 3 for weekends with dog.I've also got the Monty 6 and can't praise this enough. This tent is rock solid but quite expensive but then again if your fed up with losing tents this one is for you.

We have a Khyam Toronto. 

While it is made from a mixture of some steel and some fibre-glass poles, three of the fibre-glass poles split in very gusty/gale-force weather in Cambridge last year. I

t was the third time we'd used it and would in future try to factor in the wind element if necessary...Not always that easy to do though

We're in the process of replacing them and haven't used it this year yet!!

Good luck hunting for the right one though.
