Looking to buy an Outwell Vermont L tent and wondered how long I should wait to get the best deal on a 2010 model before the prices go up on the 2011 models?
Any advice would be appreciated, I don't want to wait too long to suddenly see the prices jump up.
Cheers
Al

I don't know when they will release the 2011 models, some time in 2011 would make sesnse! But never buy a tent during the summer, wait till Christmas or New Year when the retailers are scrabbling for business.
------------- Coming soon to a campsite near you, Jake, Mrs Jake, Little legs, Bosdog the Doodle and Olly the Cavachon.
2014:
August: Scarborough, High Yedmandale. Not tenting though, using one of their lovely holiday homes!
I am also looking to purchase my first tent, ready for next year. I really like the look of the Hi Gear Kalahari 8. I know it has been reduced to £199 recently from £299 (missed this offer as didn't have the funds available), just wondered it it is likely to go back to this, or indeed any lower?
If you like the Kalahari 8 then have a look at the Khyam Ontario 8
Much better tent for the money in my opinion: Wider and longer (7.5m x 3.7m) therefore giving you more space Better HH rating - 5000mm compared to 3000mm Spacious bedrooms (2 x 2 berth, 1 x 4 berth which can be divided) which can accommodate 8 x 75cm wide aribeds
Price around £200 (if you haggle and pay cash you might get the footprint groundsheet thrown in for free like we did!!)

Do they tend to advertise these sales or not?
Yes they do and tents are usually cheaper online than in the shops so it might be a good idea to put a link to the various online camping suppliers on your desktop or in your favourites then you can click on them regularly and catch the early bargains.
Keep on eye on these forums too...people will often tell you when there is a good deal going somewhere...once they have bought one for themselves of course
Hi i tend to keep an eye out all year round there are different bargains to be had at most times of the year, this year we picked up a Outwell nevada m and front extension for less than £225 the tents original selling price was £299 without extension.
I tend to notice tents and equipment prices drop from end of August (weather depending)as stores that carry vast amounts of stock don't want to be carting old stock through winter into next season, they know that people buying tents come April will be wanting the 2011 models.
Have a look online at Somerset Camping they have some excellent deals on 2009 model tents at the moment.
I'm waiting to buy too - been told end of August is when the big sales start so companies can raise some capital to budget for next years bulk tent purchases.
