They're nearly all made in China, often in the same factories, and ALL let an occasional duff one slip through.
Best to look at the style/size of tent which suits you and your budget, in the maker's ranges you've mentioned, narrow down your choice, and then compare each looking at user reviews here.
Out of interest (and this is completely unscientific - being an average of averages) each maker you mention has an average rating on tents on it's first review page of:
Vango 8.3
Outwell 8.5
Edit: You'd factor in the higher unit cost normally seen with Outwells.
I was going to do this on the first pages of Royal and Coleman too, but lost the will to live

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Speaking only from personal experience, for longer trips where more space is needed, we have an Outwell Montana 6 with extension. It is a belter of a tent but much heavier than the Icarus and therefore takes more time to put up and take down. It is more expensive but ours has done some camping where the weather has been dreadful and has stood up to it all when we have seen other tents collapsing around us.

had a vango 600 for the last 5 years just gone out and bought a gelert horizon i went on looksand space also sewn in groundsheet which clinched it 4 me but thats only my opinion
------------- always try to be helpful tell me if im not
We have the icarus 500 for shorter trips but we have used our wynnster mercury 9 excell for the past 5 years. Plenty of room, and it has taken a real hammering from the weather on a couple of our forays. We went for the Icarus because it is much quicker to put up but if you are willing to take the time I think that wynnster are a cracking make.
I'm not going to get drawn in to giving other peoples pride and joy a hard time, respect to all tents[although if i buy a duff one please tell me] ,i have the icarus 600 with sun canopy its a great tent.Like you debbie looking for a similar tent for long holidays next year ,decided i am going to buy the vango monte verde 700 check it out, it might tick all the boxes for you. there is a pitching video for it on u tube.
