we have had a number of tents over the years from different makes and out of them I would recommend the Bear Lake for a number of reasons. The reasons we bought it was because we always kept going back to it when looking at tent shows, we loved the fact that it was polycotton (cooler in summer, warmer when cold), it has a large living area (managed to sit comfortably 7 adults and 5 children in it), the bedroom pods are a good size and you can stand up in them. Since buying it we have noticed how stable it is when it is windy and it hardly makes any noise compared to the polyester tents, we love the fact that you can unzip the windows which allows a lovely cool breeze into the tent on warm days. It is easy to erect despite it's size and weight.
I do feel though that we all have a tent that we would recommend so I do think it would be a good idea for you to visit a tent show to get an idea of what's available now. Good luck in your search and hope you find your ideal tent
