Hi all,

Just wondering if people always detach bedroom inners when taking tent down or do you leave them in?

We've always taken ours down and reattached each time we pitch but have read a couple of reviews where people say pitching is quicker because they've left the bedrooms in.

Any advice welcomed.

Thanks, Jo

Hi we only use one bedroom pod in are Sunncamp only takes minutes to take in and out and it depends on which side my brother pitches to which bedroom pod we use so we take both and only use one just leave the other one in the boot of the car.

We always detach ours.. Not sure why, cos they are a pain to pack, just feels right.

What tent do you have?

Depends entirely on the design of your tent. Some tents/poles can take the extra weight of all-in-one pitching, some can't. If it says on your tent instructions to take the inners out, I would go with that.

It's not relevant to us but I read something the other day on here and wondered whether leaving pods in made it harder to ensure that the tent was completely dry for packing away.

We used to take ours out before packing away but our friends tent came with the pods attached so they never take theirs out, their tent is not dis-similar (is that a word) to ours so now we leave ours in, saves 5 mins putting up and taking down and it still all rolls up neatly in the bag.

We detatch our bedroom but just leave it flat in position and roll it up with the rest of the tent. We just wish the bedroom was bigger, we could easlily park our car inside the tent (Khyam Aspen) and even open the tailgate but the bedroom is woefully small and we can barely fit our airbed in it, we can't fully zip it closed. The inners in mine go in a different bag with the pole bag, and fly without inners is quite snug in its own bag, so have little choice than to take out
