When I last pitched our Horizon 6 Porch I managed to bend the ends of not just one but BOTH of the metal pole sections that go across the roof section of the porch through the sleeves. I've been in touch with Gelert and they say they don't actually do any spares- does anybody know where I might lay hands on a pair of top sections or if it comes to it a complete set of poles?
I've tried bending them back but I think they'll just snap if I stress them too much. The upright sections are ok- it's just the top sections that I've cream-crackered.... I'm such a muppet!
It's too good a bit of kit to lose for the sake of a couple of bent poles.
Any suggestions gratefully received- thanks in advance.

You can get replacement poles at some stores and at online shops. It's easy to diy, cut the elastic in the pole and pull it out. now saw a new pole from your repair kit at exactly the same lenght as the broken one, you can do that with an iron saw. put it at the place where the old one was used to be and put the new elastic in it. at the two ends of the pole there should be a knot (be sure there is enough tension in the elastic)
Thanks for the reply but the porch poles aren't fibreglass poles like they are for the tent itself. They're metal tubes with a specifically-shaped end so the sections fit together without twisting.
Oddly enough, I did have to make a new section for the fibreglass poles when one splintered while we were in Scotland at the start of our trip. It was a bad trip for pole setions all round, really

Cant you contact a dealer who sells gelert tents and ask them if they can get hands on a set of replacement poles, usually dealers can get spare poles from the manufactur more easily
They can be fixed. Saw through them at the point they're bent or crushed, ease them out, fill the inside with wooden dowelling or copper pipe & super glue back together.
I've actually bent the part of the pole where the angle is- I've bent it inside itself...it's a fine job of work tbh
If I'd bent a sttraight bit it would , as you say, be a reasonably simple repair- but oh no...that's not the PJ way- I have to ruin the difficult bit... D'oh!
