These are now discontinued and you cannot get them anywhere.  I had the same trouble and with some trial and error, I have found that the Outwell Nevada M extension fits very well onto a Colorado 5.

I have one and have been very pleased with the results.  Same colour and size (almost).

Cheers,

Rich

I gotta agree with Rich. I watched a 2nd hand one on ebay make more than it cost new (£100 ++)

you could try saving "outwell colorado" as a favourite search on ebay. then you get notified when anything is listed on there.

but the nevada m extension sounds like a better idea

I’m also in the same situation and require a front extension. I was recommended a Vango large sun canopy but this doesn’t fit as it isn’t tall enough and to small in the width by 40cm.

I’m very interested in Rich’s solution, just doing a quick check on the measurements I see it is the same height and 20 cm more in width so this would only be 10cm per side.

I would like to know if you have done any modifications to make it fit or just left the gap on the side? Better still do you have any photos you can share?

Cheers

Steve

I will take a photo when I go this coming weekend. In practice, you don't see any difference in width to be honest as the extension poles are all flexible so you can adjust to suit.

The clips that attach to the colorado poles are smaller but they still fit on the poles without issue.

This extension is designed to have a small gap between the main tent and the extension anyway, so this works well too.

Overall very pleased, even window heights and colour matches (unless you have a blue Colorado, of course).

No I'm keeping the tent for the time being,i sold the extension as I find a tarp to be a bit more flexible. Extension is a good not of kit though.

Well i have taken a chance on Rich's recommendation above on the outwell Nevada M Front extension and I have to say it works a treat.

Also by removing the 2nd pole on the extension you can also reduce the size of the front extension by pulling more of the extension over the main tent. This is quite handly if your pitch is quite small. The overall length is now 7.6 metres so a bit on the long side.

Thanks Rich for the great advice!!
