I'm thinking about buying a Hartford XL to replace my Indianna 8 (Outwell). Footprint of the tent seems huge. Have you had any problems with pitch sizes?

i used to own 1,but gave it up as some were charging more and some sites are strict about the 6x6 maximum rule...well when i say i gave it up, i meant lost the poles in Filey

We have the larger XXL with front extension & have never been charged extra for a large tent, but we have probably been restricted on choice of sites we can use.

We have an XL.

Fantastic tent.

One or two sites we have come accross, or stayed at in the past have wanted to charge for two pitches, others have a large tent fee.

Most of the time its not a problem and you can find plenty of sites.

You will enjoy the space it provides, go for it.
