We've just bought the 2010 model of the Amazon 600 and although we've put it up a few times I really struggle with the ring and pin system and there just doesn't seem to be enough slack in the straps to get the pins in the bottom of the poles without almost snapping my fingers off! One side is fine, but it's getting the opposite pin in, even with the straps loosened.

We pretty much follow the instructions on the video on the Vango site), but I can't help thinking I'm missing something as the part on the video which shows the ring and pin is clearly filmed whilst the opposite pin is not fixed.

Any tips out there...?

We have just bought one and had a test run before our bank holiday weekend away.
We struggled slightly but what we did was put one side in first and then slowly pull the flysheet over the leg on the other side. The flysheet came over the bend, which made the pin go in easily. The flysheet will try to revert back to the original position before you pulled it but there should be enough slack to get the pin in.
Probably better techniques from the more experienced but this worked for us.
Happy Camping
