hi can anybody help, i have bought the kalahari 10 and on the sewn in ground sheet under where the bedrooms go i can only describe it as a hole with material and a pull cord if you open the pull cord you can see the grass underneath the tent. there is one of these each end of the tent i i really dont know what its for, any ideas???

its to peg down the bedroom pods in the middle then you pull the cord tight to cover hole up

We have just visited Go Outdoors and they had the Khalahari 8 on display,its a cracking tent for £200 and the 10 is the same price.Very roomy and 2 big universal inners.

Our Ontario 8 and Licata 400 both have this - you peg down the bedroom pod and then draw the cord round it.

Been looking for this thread!

We put ours up a couple of weeks ago, and the holes to peg the bedrooms into have now gone - a square patch where they've plastic welded it is visible, and there's just an elastic loop now.
