It's good to see another Emilie still going strong. We bought ours new in 1990 from the Forest Camping Centre for £339. It has the old red and white Cabanon logo on it. We've just returned from the Forest of Dean with ours and I had to sew one of the curtain clips back on, only the second repair I've had to make on the tent. The other was to replace the rubber band on the kitchen window, the one shaped like an elongated number '8'.
I couldn't help noticing the centre guy rope on your sun canopy. Our sun canopy has an extending centre pole that clips onto the main tent frame through the stub canopy hole. The other end has a plastic spike that goes into a hole at the apex of the canopy frame. The pole is extended and tightened in order to tension the fabric. Then there is just one guy rope on each side and none in the middle.
Lovely Emilie, Steve. I have one I bought this year and although I have pitched it once I am really struggling to pitch it again without instructions- seem to have completely forgotten how I did it the first time!
I have not been able to find any instructions or diagrams online. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. Meanwhile I will keep going with trial and error and see if I can work it out!
The OP last posted in 2015, but hopefully someone else can help if they don’t come back.
Our Cabanon Pyramide (bought 1980s, I think) has those colours, but not the stripes.
