Hi All,

been researching polycotton tents & the decision was between the Outwell Bear Lake 6 & Kampa Holkham 6.

Ended up at Camping on Tyne who are selling the Kampa for £599.99.

We have made the purchase & negiotiated good price for windbreak & footprint.

HTH anyone searching for the best price.

Mrs MacP

PS. Does anyone know of an Outwell carpet that will fit the Holkham?

Hi All

We have just come across the Kampa Holkham 6 today on display and we really like it, we currently have the Outwell Sunvalley 8 but like the front vestibule option on the Kampa Holkham 6. Anyone have any views on the Kampa Holkham 6 & vestibule? Thanks.

Hi MrsMacP

We looked at the Holkham, but we instead opted for the BL6 as we though the quality was slightly better. The ZIG on the BL6 is a lot thicker and what put us off the Holkham was that the front windows don't have pvc to them, just mesh and zip up curtains. What we did love about the Holkham is the side storage area.I wish Outwell would adopt that for their tents instead of that useless side porch on the Montana.
We only ended up paying £597 for our new BL6 2 weeks ago so we are very happy.

As for your carpet query.

The Holkham has a living area of 325cm x 400cm.The nearest Outwell carpet to that is from the Outwell Imagine(which is the Blue version of the Montana 6).Obviously a blue carpet will go nice with your Holkham. It is slightly bigger at 350cm x 415cm.

We wouldn't be without our side porch like the Montana's. Without the windows its great for the toilet at night, muddy boots and shoes (as has a small separate groundsheet = easy to clean) and outdoor toys! Great as a kids' shoes off barrier. It can also be sealed from the weather so it all stays nice and dry, unlike a canopy.

Isn't it fortunate that we all like different things. Must admit we like also the 2/3 bedroom option of our Columbia 600 because the separate one acts like the Kampa's storage area - keeping the main tent tidy. All tents should factor in storage IMHO...

Helen
