You'll find that the Vango Premium Extension isn't wide enough for the 600. It's a pity but there is no extension (ie a canopy with the door) for the 600.
When I had my 500 and had not yet purchased the premium extension I found that the sloped door gave me a soaking every time I opened it from the inside, and soaked the SIG too. I solved the problem with this arrangement.
Now this tarp was from another tent, and you can see it has straps and C clips attached to the end of the straps which are hooked onto the middle hoop. I also used two king poles and angled them in such a way that I only needed one guy rope per pole.
Using an ordinary tarp you could sew straps on and get the C clips from Marinestore.com, however just as good an alternative would be the Vango Adventure Tarp which has got an elasticated edge on it which is designed to hook over the front hoop and it also comes with two king poles.
Quechua (Decathlon) also sell a tarp in a dark green minus the elasticated edge, but with tarps you can experiment until you find the best way to shelter your door and give a decent undercover area.
I recently bought a tarp, which came with poles, from Blacks for a tenner. I haven't even opened the package yet!
It should be pointed out that that little tarp I used was only a small one, most tarps are much bigger and have loads of other uses.
