My lovely Vango Colorado 800dlx has given up the ghost after 4 years of almost endless bad weather camping!!!
It held up remarkably well in all sorts of conditions but now the water is bucketing through......So I need a new tent!
We are a family of 5 so 3 sleeping areas required and I would prefer a dome for stability in the massive amounts of wind we always find ourselves in, although I keep coming back to the Kampa Filey..
Any newer Colorado users out there got any comments, because I think it has changed ALOT in 4 yrs, but I'm not sure I like the Vango and Outwell current colour lines....
I feel like I'm drowning in tent info lol

If you don't mind the upright front of the Filey - it is certainly worth serious consideration with its 100D flysheet that could double or more the life of the tent in terms of UV resilience. You can tell the quality difference in the Kampa Ultimate tent range - we have the smaller Bude 4.

If you want a Vango with stability and a bargain. Check out the Vango Columbia 600 (discontinued but still a few around new - blue (aka smoke) or sage) - steel poles, 5000HH, TBSII system, SIG, enclosed side porch, 2/3 bedrooms etc. Windshedding shape too - £275 (RRP last year £450). The footprint, carpet and canopy (sage colour only) for the 2010 Sungari 600 will fit. We've found ours to have excellent weather resillience. We use the Vango Adventure Tarp over the front of ours.

Sorry to hear about your endless bad weather when camping! We changed our tent this year for the same reason and now have a Royal Cuban 6 which has 3 bedroom pods. We went for this mainly for the zipped in groundsheet & the thick metal poles wheras our old one the groundsheet wasn't attached to the tent & the wind got underneath and the poles were too flexible!

We had some high winds and heavy rain when we were away in it and were very impressed, it hardly moved in the wind & no leaks in the rain.
