Only one I can think of at the moment that has all the bedrooms across the back and living area at the front is the 7 berth Vango Maritsa 700 but you're talking much more than your £220 budget!

We have the Khyam Ontario 8 which is a genuine 8 berth tunnel tent but it has the bedrooms on either side of a spacious living area. This is more in keeping with your budget and you get a lot of excellent quality tent for your money.

Hi
You will have a hard time finding a four bedded tent with all the rooms along the back of the tent..Most with four bedrooms will be the sort of tunnel where you have 4 berths at each end of the tent. Very much like the Vango Tigris 800 or the Khyam Quebec 8 style. Your budget will either get you a not so good new tent or possible a good second hand tent. You could also contact any retailers near to you and ask if they have any slight seconds etc. Some retailer sell off tents that have been returned to them at a lower cost instead of returning them to the manufacturers... Be very carefull when it comes to show model tents, if the fabric feels brittle then walk away. Again at this time of year some retailers have some show models that may not of been up that long but have sold out of the stock so will sell off a show model way before they normally would.

British rating is 1500HH but personally I think that's quite low.

Anything over 2000HH should be fine for our wonderful British weather, so 3000HH is more than enough.

Agree with the above on difficulty finding that spec for the money.

Been very pleased with my Quebec thats £249 currently at somerset camping, its the steel uprights of the Ontario helen mentions above, space is pretty much the same inside. Either is a great choice. This years versions also have a bonus over my 2009 model as have either framed porch or eyebrow (depending on model) which is good when its wet.

What about the Kampa Tenby 10.  It's a 10 man tent but takes up the same footprint as most of the large tunnel tents.  That has 4 berth one side and 6 all divadable to make 2 berth's the other with a small porch.  It then has a wardrobe area next to the 4 berth leaving a huge living space.  Kampa tents are new but Gary who owns Cross Camping and Leisure and thetentfactory thinks they are a good make.

Hi thanks everyone,

Have decided on and bought a kalahari 10, after reading reviews and budget.

We are hoping to try it out soon on a 2 night break , and even debating is October Half term too cold to camp? Any experiences out there?

Some of the general forum replies  are funnier than a night at the appollo Don't you all think what a tonic?
