I use a pondliner.....a thick black one....it packs down to the size of the tent carpet.....its brilliant. Ours covers the ground of the frame tent and goes up the sides about 10cm each side.

I`m thinking it can only be 0.5mm...but TBH I`m not really sure...it can`t be any thicker

Hi , we have used a 0.5mm pond liner before and it is pretty heavy. I would think the 1.0m stuff would be much too unweildy and very tricky to lie flat without wrinkles. 0.5mm will do the job for you. Alternative is a B&Q blue tarp for £9.50 with a couple of picnic rugs on top,
