I Bought an icarus 500 from go outdoors, the trent is all one colour, I thought the 2010 version was two tone? What is the difference in the two models.

My Icarus is a 2010 model and is two tone green - Laurel/Meadow.  The 2009 one was sage in colour I think, don't know many other differences really! Oh I think the addition of a toggle on the bottom of the front door is a 2010 addition?

I'll watch with interest and see what the other differences are!

Our tent is 2009 and clearly 2 different greens. Our friends have bought a 2010 tent and it is two tone but there's not a great deal of difference between the two greens. Probably the batches of fabric!

Are you really sure it's all one colour. We have the laurel/meadow combo and it's quite hard to tell the difference, especcially in full sunlight.

If you got the green one the two colours of green on the back and the front is very marginally different, hardly noticeable at all....... whereas the blue one seems to be definately navy at the back and light blue at the front.

Ahh looking at my photo's it is two tone just very pale, nothing like the Vango site images. (funny how it was all one colour in my head)

Mine has the toggle at the bottom of the front door flap.

Hi there,

It takes my Husband around 45 minutes to do it alone while I look after are 2 small children!  We have only pitched twice so far but with more practice and perhaps more help from me, I'm sure it would take less time!

I'm sure I have read on other threads on here of people pitching in around 10-15 minutes!

I think you'll be able to improve on the 45 minute pitch time LimeH, it's really a simple tent to put up.

I put the tent up on my own in 15-20 minutes, but if my son gives me a hand it's under 10 minutes. I find it's putting all the stuff inside takes the longest (and of course taking it all out again!).

Thank's Victoria!

Wow 10 minutes, thats brilliant... that'll give us something to work towards!

You're absolutely right about getting all the stuff in and out... we seem to have more stuff to take home than what we'd brought... dunno how we managed that!
