we have 2 children and 1 dog but usually camp for a week or more at a time and the children are getting older now and need a bedroom each.i think the living area of the wolf lake 7 may be a bit small but like the outwell quality so wanted to stick with the brand.i like the cabanon biscaya 500 size but not the price!! so i am hoping for a compromise. but do i wait and see or buy the best available now???

we have a wolf lake 7 and we have 3 children. we haven't used the tent this summer as it takes too long too pitch whilst trying to look after 3 kids and have used the bell tent instead (which only needs one person to pitch, impossible for 1 of us to pitch wolf lake). don't forget a larger polycotton will be even heavier and bigger than the pack size of this tent. there are 3 bedrooms in the wolf lake, does anyone make tunnel tents with more bedrooms? have you thought of taking small pop ups for the children as well as a smaller tent for you? we find the wolf lake has loads of space and is a lovely tent, but at the moment we would rather have less space but a quicker pitching time!

we have the norfolk lake at the moment so are fine with the size and weight.the kids will be 7 and 10 next year so dont need looking after too much and we are quite fit and active so are ok to pitch a bigger tent!! i dont think i could go smaller as i have gotten used to the space now and do like the kids in the same tent at night...the only other option at the moment is the biscaya 500 which is perfect but too pricey at almost £2000 so need some inside info on new outwells!!!! then i can make a decision and finally stop looking!
We have a WL 7 with 3 small kids...I to wondered if the living space would be 2 small but it absolutely isn't....It is a very heavy tent...my husband is fit and active and can just about lift the bag that holds the tent...
We used the tent the first time this summmer and the sleeping areas are really spacious...and we all fitted comfortably in the living area when it rained along with 2 huge inflatable chairs!!!!
I have no idea if they would bring out anything bigger..but if they did there is no way one person could lift it....
You could try ringing round a few of the bigger camping shops and asking because most of them have visited Outwell by now and are in the know!!!!!
goodluck

Have you considered the Kampa Polzeath 8 - which is comparable to Outwell polycottons in quality and features (although the groundsheet may be slightly lighter weight) with even an optional 4th bedroom plus a side storage area -
I will be very surprised if they make a polycotton tent bigger than the WL7.First of all the WL7 is huge and very heavy and then there is the overall footprint the tent takes up.The WL7 fits on to a standard pitch with no problem, making something bigger would create a problem size wise on a lot of sites.
As you say your children are growing up you could always consider a pup tent for them.
