I have been looking at the quechua pop up tents and I realy like them. But my question is which is better the 4.1 or the 4.2? I am a single mum with a 2year old and a jack russel dog. So something with plenty of room for us in. We have a lichfield yana at the moment which I love but would be so much easier and comfier with the standing height of the quechua. Also is there anywhere in south wales I can view the quechua tents? Thanks in advance for any replies Carly

4.1, 1x 4 person sleeping pod and living area. 4.2 has 2 double sleeping pods with living area in the middle.

We just sold our Quechua 4.2 and base full set up, loved it so versatile, easy to set up and quick to put away when you have the nack. Also dont need much room to air them back home in a small garden if they are packed wet, most of the water can be shaken off as it just beads anyways so we also loved our quechuas for that reason. I need flat access now for wheelchair in and out so they had to go.

Its up to yourself if u all wanna sleep in the 1 pod get the 4.1, if you want to have the option of seperate pods get the 4.2. You can add to the living space if you can get hold of a standard seconds base.

Thanks for the reply, do you think I will be able to put up and take down on my own? and is there any room in the bedroom once a airbed is in there? I realy want to view one before I buy it though but decathlons nearest store is merryhill which is 95miles from me so too far to go and view. So anyone that knows of anywhere that stocks it nearer me in south wales would be great. Thanks Carly

Not sure on 4.1 and airbeds in the pod. the 4.2 can take a double each pod but no space for much else, if single airbed each pod then quite a bit of space.

Decathlon is the only stockist as Quechua is their brand, people sell them on ebay but you pay over the odds at times. Not sure if someone might be close to you that has one and would let you see.

Lil ones dad is 5"6 and does the 4.2 himself.

Hi Carly, I have the 4.2.

Unfortunately other than expensive deals on Ebay, Decathlon are the only people that sell Quechua's.

Unless someone near to you owns one and is willing to pitch it for you to show you around it, its going to be difficult to see one if the flesh im afraid.

I would use a single bed for myself but my daughter has a kampa toddler bed which is quiet wide as it has raised sides. Would I get the 2 in one pod? would rather that for now as shes only 2 but as she gets older she can go in own pod. Thanks happycamper, I am in Blackwood is hat anywhere near you? I think I am going to get one but would like to actualy see one before taking the plunge. Thanks everyone Carly

Easiest way is take width measurements of both airbeds together and measure it up with the pod measurement on Decathlons site. To give you an idea have a look at the width measurements etc for the Aerobed active double and that fits in nice and snug.

Personally I'd go for the 4.1 in your circumstances. The large pod would easily accomodate your 2 beds and the dog if you wanted!. We have the 4.2 but in some ways wish the 4.1 had been out when we bought it. I think one large pod is better than the 2 seperate pods.

Nothing between them for folding away though. I fold our 4.2 up by myself and folded a 4.1 for a lovely french lady at La Ravoire near Annecy in June.

If you have a 2 year old, I would go for the 4.1. Yes, you'll be able to put it up and down yourself once you've had a wee prctice.
