Help please!!
We have just got back from camping in Belgium, and realised that we loved the whole experience of camping abroad, but our current tent is maybe a little large to be pitching every few days (We have a Khyam Cleveland6)
What I would like to know, is what tents would you recommend that
1. Pitch in less than 30minutes, and be easy to pack away
2. Have 2 seperate bedromms (To sleep 4 of us)
3. Have sufficient living space for 4 people - should the rain fall like it did this year!!
I have started looking at the Khyam rigid system - but am not sure about bag size etc (our current tent comes in 3 massive bags!!)
Any advice gratefully received :)

oh you shouldnt get me going on this one, I am a lone camper and have a khyam Chatsworth and get great pleasure in putting up my tent in less than 10 mins then waqch two bulky blokes still struggling with their tunnel tent. It is made for four, it depends on how much room you think is adequate, me and my dog can rattle around it very happily. I love it, I have been in strong winds and heavy rain, only problem I find is the rain collects before the outer bedroom pole, lower one side, problem solved.

Since using our new Quechua 4.2 in August ive become quite evangelical about it.
Certainly worth considering and the great thing is that as well as being able to pitch it in less than 10 mins easily, one you have the knack (dead easy to learn once you watch the youtube vid a couple of times) you can strike pitch and have it packed in its bag just as fast. Once folded it *always* fits in the bag... no messing about trying to fold it different ways as it wont all fit it etc. etc.
Living space can be doubled with the use of a Base Seconds, also mega quick to pitch, and they dock together to allow you to "design" the tent around your needs.
Brilliant, brilliant tent.

Planned for next year, hopefully!
Summer Solstice wild camp.
Chilled in a Field, July.
Crantock, August. Fouth year with the fantastic Quechua Base Seconds 4.2!
..... and the odd night wild camping in my Argos 1 man tent...

The Khyam Rapidex Quick Errect system is great for pitching and taking down in much less time than traditional pole and sleeve tents.
If you have 4 people, then you would be advised to get the bigger Harewood or Longleat than the smaller 3-4 berth tents in their range.
I find my Excelsior XL which is equivalent to last year's Petworth, and is slightly bigger than the Chatworth, just about right for 2 people and a dog in terms of sleeping and living space. To sleep 4 will be very cosy indeed!

Brilliant, brilliant tent.
That makes two of us LOL!
I cannot stop going on about how good they are. OH and I now almost fight over who gets the pleasure of putting it up and folding it away..."it's my turn"..."no let me do it".
There is something really satisfying at having the tent up and everything setup up in about 20 mins...and put away ion about the same time.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I like the look of the Khyam Wayfarer........but for all of you Quecha devotee's, how tall is it inside - will I be able to stand up inside (I am just under 6 foot tall) or will I have to crawl around as If I was in a dolls house? lol
I have a trip to Decathlon planned for next weekend
