I'm looking for a second tent, I have a Vango Amazon 800 but need another to take with us for my teenage daughter and friends to stay in. I've done a lot of looking and reading up and quite like the soul pad 5000. Also I like the Outwell Montana 600, both totally different tents but before I make up my mind I would like some opinions on these two, I'm open for suggestions on others as well :)

If it's a teenage daughter and friends to stay in, think about something cool looking like a teepee. If you have the budget look at the bell tents (although perhaps too good for a bunch of teens) or a budget version see if there are any Vango Juno 800's left, or if not - the Juno 500.

I really like the look of the bell tents and it would be ideal for me when I take the kids away by myself as it looks big enough for us all to sleep in (7 of us!) without the bedroom pods in and a lot easier than struggling with the amazon which is hard work for me and my 17yr old daughter to put up but was worried how well they fair when the weather isn't kind which seems to be everytime I go away.

Bell tents will fare better than most in bad weather, they're reportedly very strong - but the only thing that puts me off is the cream colour of it - I'd worry it would get stained with mud.

An alternative is the Hypercamp pyramid tents that you get get shipped over from Holland. They're quite reasonable, especially for the smaller ones.
