hi all we are looking for our first large family tent as we have only ever garden camped in families very old tents at parents.
We like the look and sound of the hi gear kalahari 10 - there are 8 of us, 2 adults and 6 kids who will be going kids age from 7 - 2yrs also 2 small dogs. does this sound too many for a 10 berth? as i know from lurking in here you are supposed to go bigger than your group but to be honest this is all new to me.
i want a tunnel tent as think that will be best esp to fit on pitch sizes and must have a SIG and pref some mesh doors.
also does anyone know where there are any of these in stock and the best deals. would love a footprint and carpet with it absolute max budget is £300 :-( and i have no idea of the best places to look and google brings up hundreds of pages..so very confusing
please help!

I can HIGHLY recommend the Khyam Ontario 8 which measures 7.5m x 3.7m
It is a geniune 8 berth tent - it can comfortably accommodate 8 x 75cm wide airbeds in 3 bedrooms (2+2+4 berths) It is very easy to erect, spacious living area (3.7m x 3.2m), standing height throughout (225cm), SIG, tunnel design, 5000HH rating, large windows, groundsheet goes flat at the doors so no trip hazzard, cable entry point, door can be canopied out to form a porch 9king poles included), good ventilation.
All in all, a lot of tent for the money (RRP £225)
We've had 12 sleeping in ours for a weekend!!
