I have only had this tent 5 weeks and on the third time of use, two of the poles split. We have contacted B&Q who we bought it off, and they say they cant get spares and there is no further stock of the tent to exchange it. Kindly, they have offered a full refund - however... we have also purchased from a different source, the footprint, carpet and porch and so we are reluctant to have a refund.
Any ideas where I can get spare poles from and is this a common problem??

Yes its a very common problem ,replacement poles are available at most camping shops and are easily replaced.
you only need to replace the broken sections , not the entire pole.
You don't need specific gelert branded poles, just need the same diameter poles , and you can cut the length to size with a junior hacksaw.
I think they are 12.7mm diameter on the horizon , but check this first .
if you don't fancy tackling fixing the poles yourself take it to GO if you've got one handy - they charge a couple of pound plus the price of the pole sections to fix them.

Most good camping shops will do it for you.Its also a good idea to buy a couple of spare pole sections at the same time incase you break one on site you can repair it

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Horizon 6 poles are rubbish, beleive me I know! Mountain warehouse are selling 11mm pole sets for £3.99 which is very good I think. I got some spares there and they are better than the ones with the tent. Easy to repair yourself although the elastic threader is a bit of an acquired art!
