Vango seamed to have been reading the forum - the Icarus with mesh front door, velcro tabs and higher HH. Airbeam tents too -- prices seam quite competitive!

I was waiting to see what incarnation of green we were getting next year - Moss green. Not laurel meadow or sage. So the person who was thinking of getting the Icarus now and waiting until next year for the new canopy with the door I think would be advised to wait or buy now and get the premium extension instead if any are about.
The Icarus 500 is £179....I'm still glad I've got mine this year for £130.
I would have liked the higher HH though, and the extra mesh panel on the front. I wonder will the elusive lantern hanging point actually be there. I've never found it in mine.
I'm dying to know what the light reducing inner tent in the Vango's are like. I do think they read our forum as one of the most frequent questions that got asked at the height of our summer (especially some glastonbury folk) was about making the inner tent darker.
I like the 'True Navy' of the Monte Verde and the other Vango's. Interesting!

Though I'm not keen on the look of the tent, it's nice to see one with Hayling's name on it, the island where I live . I don't think I've seen the name used anywhere else before.
Those black tents look very funky too, for folks who like it dark inside.
That Kampa Hayling could be big competition for the Vango Icarus 5, although the Hayling is a 4 man tent it's actually wider than the Icarus....and a bit cheaper.
I don't like the Moss either. I do like the True Navy though, I never liked the lighter blues that Vango have been using. I really like the Amazon 600 and it looks good in the Navy.

God, ruin a great little tent with that dreadfull moss colour, some one should be taken to task for that choice.Yep, like the true navy for the monte verde.Thats the one for me next year. You fancy the amazon victoria.
Oooh, is what I thought was black actually navy? Too much dog hair in my eyes from work today, methinks .
If I were stood looking at one from the comfort of our pale beige tent & mocha tent, I like the moss colour too, though I always feel queasy inside strongly coloured tents. It takes many colours to make a rainbow though eh? Vive la difference!
