Both versions of the cabana on amazon now down to £135.46 free del.
Now, why did you have to tell me that? I've just gone and bought the Liberty Rock one for my daughter on impulse so she can go camping with her friends without taking any of my tents - but mainly because it was so irresistibly gorgeous!!!
Ah well, that's me broke before pay day even arrives!

Awww Sarah, so sorry, didn't mean to burst anyones balloon but I know exactly how you feel. Bought a posh frock a week ago for a special wedding in Sept; saw it yesterday at half price but hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles ain't it? Win some lose some and all that jazz.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself clearly - I bought it at half price after reading your post and because of reading it! I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. I suppose I can always justify it because it was down to half price, almost, and because it's a lot cheaper than replacing one of my own tents if I lent it to the girls and they damaged it. (There's always a way of justifying buying a new tent, isn't there!)
Sarah - you're absolutely right! No way on Gods earth would I loan any of my good quality tents to anyone. Only did it once back in the 70's, loaned a canvas frame to friends so they could holiday with us and boy did I regret it.
As for sons/daughters, the way I look at it is this. If they want to start adult camping but money is tight for them, I'll buy them a tent now - it just comes off their inheritance when I popmeclogs

I bought the Liberty Rock (purple flowery one) as an impulse buy earlier this year and love it I paid around £160. I'd spotted teh red and black one in Outdoor Megastore, and loved it, Looking at the dimesions on their system spotted the liberty rock, and was sold. Came home with it. It is a great tent for when the kids and I go for short breaks - there was plenty of room in the bedroom section for two kids, a medium sized dog and myself, with room for one more if need be. Living area was great for the three of us (plus dog) but wouldn't be if OH was with us - but that has more to do with the fact that he needs his space, than the actual tent. I had a a cupboard, the loo, some bags, and had plenty of room even when I brough my chair in we still had room to move.

I quite like the design, especially at that price, although the colourways are a bit OTT. A nice blue or green would be more our cup of tea, especially if combined with a window. There is one big issue for us though. The inner is too short. With the slope on the back and my husband (6ft) already pushing out the rear on a 205cm long inner tent if he lies flat with a pillow, the 200cm long inner tent of the Cabana is just too short!!! For me it would be no problem, but we always camp as a family...
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
