Just curious if theres going to be any changes on next years tents, only asking because i`ve just been to pick up a tigris (didnt have the colour I wanted so i didnt bother) and they told me at winfields that they`ll have 2011 stock arriving in march time which will probably have some additions to last years model. Looked on Vango`s site but nothing new there.
Cheers

Cheers for that, i`ve just had a mooch about and found a 2010 in smoke with canopy for £220-which i prefer smoke to the new 'moss' colour-not a bad price seeing as the cheapest store wise for a 2010 model is £248. I just hope the canopy is the zip up one :)
Apart from the colour (deep blue or moss), the only changes I can see on the 2011 Tigris are that the hydrostatic head is now 4000 (vs 3000), and the sleeping pods are in the opposite positions according to the schematic so that the 2 individual ones are now door end. Not sure if that's enough to justify the significant price hike !

They would probably say the price hike is due to increased transport and materials costs. I think they're just throwing in a better spec to soften the blow.

Also the doors now have a lip a bit like the way Outwell do it. No more flap down riser groundsheet at the doors. Gary Cross
Obviously this is to do the flymesh on the outer doors, although they managed a very effective alternative solution previously. I suspect that there will be a number of more disabled and less mobile campers that preferred the old drop down thresholds and will have to look elsewhere now...

We use the pods in the other ends anyway, the large pod is at the far away end from the door, works just as well and makes no difference.

The increased spec otherwise is a positive!

Yep Airbeams perfect for my needs big turn off flippin lips on the bottom was hoping at least the canopy didnt have it but think that does too. Their alternative suggestions when I asked are all poled heavy tents id never get up on my own from a powerchair with a 6yr old.
