Hi
Does anyone know if the Bear Lake 6 front extension will fit my Norfolk Lake? they are similar in size, but I don't know how the extension connects to a Bear Lake, if it just clips onto the poles, I may be willing to take the chance and buy the extension. It will help stop the rain coming in when the front is open and people are going in and out of the tent.

Hi, we bought a Bear Lake 6 front extension to fit on our Norfolk Lake 'on the off chance' that it would fit. The good news is that it does fit, even though the Bear Lake dimensions are slightly wider. The front extension just clips on to the Norfolk Lake front poles, slightly overlapping the front porch area, so you lose a small amount of the extensions length (minimal). The bad news (which we only discovered when we tried to erect the extension on a camping trip) is that the extension requires 2 poles but is only supplied with one, as it utilises the existing pole from the canopy supplied with the Bear Lake 6. This means that the extension is useless without purchasing an additional pole. After thinking about it, this is what we decided to do, however, it was not a cheap option as the pole cost about £ 120! All in all we are very pleased with the extension which, to us, is worth the money as we camp for 3 or so weeks at a time during the summer. We might have felt differently if it was only to be used for short camping trips. A cheaper alternative is the Montana 6 front extension (not polycotton) which I believe also fits. I hope this is useful, when we were looking for an extension, we couldn't find any information, which is why we took a gamble and bought the Bear Lakeextension.

just to confirm smujjer's comments the montana extension fits perfectly and comes with 2 sets of poles, we use this set up on our norfolk lake but would like to upgrade to montana lake extension this season to keep the polycotton theme going.

Was thinking of a bl6 extension as a matching fit to my arrow lake instead of the Yukon river 6 one as the bl is also the same height as the arrow lake. Didn't think about the fact it is supplied with only one pole - imteresing that the £120 worth lack of pole isn't effected in the price compared with other extensions!
