Hi,

could a kind person with a Vermont L 2010 model please clarify if the whole of the window openings completly lift up, leaving a mesh cover.?

In other words, what are the combinations e.g .clear plastic/mesh/curtain, on the side windows.

Thanks,

Andy.

Hi,

thanks for your promp reply.

What I would like to know now is  Can I open the side windows with only the mesh covering the opening ? Thereby allowing maximum ventilation in hot weather.

Thanks,

Andy.

You can have mesh just covering the windows on our vermont L, the side doors also have mesh panels as does the divider between the main tent and the porch so you can sit in the main tent with all external doors open and all mesh panels closed. Also there are mesh vents above all the side windows and side doors.
Are you thinking of buying one, if so you wont be dissapointed loads of room, easy to pitch, built in porch, detachable bedroom pods and ours has stood up to the worst of the British weather but it is very heavy hence it comes in two bags

Hi Arsenaldes,

To be honest i've just purchased  a 2011 model.

I'm a little gutted though as the Outwell video on the new 2011 Vermont L states the front door has a clear window with zip-up curtains AND a mesh door for when its hot to allow air to circulate.

Well there is NO mesh door. But i'll live with that as the rest of the tent  is just what i want.So i'm pleased with it.

I was asking about the 2010 model as I was intererested is seeing if that model had any better mesh circulation.or even a mesh door.

Thank you for your imput, very helpful

Andy.

Nice purchase
One thing we did find though although they say you can pitch as one with bedrooms insitu its a good idea to lower them or take them out when taking the tent down as the area above the bedrooms can/will condensate so it needs to be dried/aired well to prevent mould.
Another good thing is if you do need more room the montana 6 front extension fits as does the old sun canopy

Hi Arsenaldes,

Another good thing is if you do need more room the montana 6 front extension fits as does the old sun canopy

Funny you should say that, I purchased that aswell & the Vermont side awning.( had a good result on both. Monty 6 extension £115.99 & Vermont side awning £ 134, Inc delivery, Footprint for Vermont L ... wait for it    £19.00 YES £19.00, so with the good discount on the Vermont L(2011 model) tent, I had a great day.lol

I didn't know you could remove the inner tent pods , thanks for that, you are a star.

Andy.

Hi all,

I've just purchased a Vermont L 2010. Can you open up and roll up the dividing door/wall between the porch and the main living area so that you effectively have one big space? Or is that something that the 2011 model only does.

Thanks Ali.
