Hi, just purchased a second hand Bordeaux 4, its in great condition but one of the window poles (corded fibreglass) is damaged. I knew about it before I bought it but I now can't find one anywhere. It was pointed out that towsure etc sell them but on looking I realised that the sizes they stock won't fit.

I have sent some enquiries to ABC and a couple of others but I wondered if anyone on here could offer some advice.

We're going from caravan to tent this year, kids are sooo excited.

Thanks

Towsure do sell the shock corded fibre glass poles in various diameters but at set lengths. You would have to cut it down to correct size to suit. 5 min job max.

Ah, didn't realise they could be cut down.  I sent them an email explaining the size I need and they said they don't stock them:/

The one I have is 7mm thick and the closest they have is 7.9mm will that be ok do you think?

Should be as long as it fits through the pole sleeve, which it should as it's only 9mm thicker . I had to replace a pole once and had to cut it down to size, then rethread the elastic cord through. Just make sure you leave the metal pole ends at the end of the section you cut. Cut with fine tooth hacksaw.

Can you get onto Royal or Unipart to ask if it's the same size as those on the Winnipeg (same design of tent but in polycotton).  If so they may supply you with a spare.  Good luck.

Thanks for the advice.  It'll be a bit easier now I know I can cut them down, I was looking for the exact length.
