So I'm thinking i'm probably going to persuade the other half that we need to go for the Outwell Vermont XL over the Hi Gear Corado 8. Only question I have is.. does anyone who has a Vermont XL know of anything that fits well to shelter the front porch door a bit? Just if its raining i'm aware that as it stands a lot of rain would probably get in on coming in and out. Like a canopy or really small extension as its already a huge tent and don't need more room just weather protection?

If only Outwell had made this awesome tent with a small canopy above the door

And don't forget that the front of the Vermont is only the porch anyway...you've still got a nice dry living room inside.

Eliza is spot on.

The front area was our 'wet' area when it had to be. No outdoor shoes in the main area, is our rule.

There was a side extension available when we bought ours but I thought that was overkill.

Alternatively, only camp for the three days that it is guaranteed not to rain this summer!!!!

Sorry, I can't tell you.

If I shared that sort of information, then everyone will be out at the same time. Imagine the chaos!!
