What would your budget be ?. To start with are you thinking of camping several times a year or once ? If your answer is several then I would go for something like a vango amazon 800, kampa polzeath 8. These tent's will easily cater for all of you's and give good protection with sturdiness at mid- range price(for a polyester tent). If in turn your budget is no problem then outwell wolf- lake 7 or a cabanon frame tent. All of these tents can be purchased at reasonable price from ebay second hand. Remember take your time choosing best thing to do is head down to a camping centre and have a good look. Hope this helps you..........

We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 8yr, 4yr and 2yr twins)who camp several times a year and have just bought a Studland 8. Spent hours trawling through tents and looking at diff options and this one seemed to best suit our needs. We are buying the additional vestibule so we can use the porch as kitchen/dining area and keep main area of tent free (means we won't be blocking up bedroom doorways with tables and cupboards as appeared to be the case with other tunnel tents).
I will be downsizing from my Coleman Evolva , which is a very big and high quality tent of a modular design. And it has been hardly used. Can't go into details here as post will probably be removed as an attempt at a for sale.
If you are interested you can e-mail me privately where I can let you have some more details.
thanks i just looked at the studland 8 but not sure about the open porch area, we will be camping for 8 weeks in the summer and with 5 children ages 12, 8, 6, and 1 year old twins im looking for a lot of space, has anyone heard anything about the kampa Tenby 10?? thanks for all the help

Hi Claire, The Kampa Studland 8 can be fitted with a vestibule which will enclose the front porch area making it into another room with the added bonus of being able to open it back up when the weather is lovely and sunny. There are some pictures in the Tent Reviews section on here which show the Studland 8 and also the polycotton version called the Kampa Polzeath and some of them have the vestibule added. It looks like a lovely big tent for a family.
