I'm opting for a Sunncamp Kansasvis a vis tunnel tent plus Sunncamp Verano DL (enclosed) canopy.
My staring point was a tent that would be definitely used by me and my OH but with flexibility to accommodate our 15 year old daughter who is still happy to come on camping holidays with us but insists on a bedroom at opposite side of tent! Although only 3 of us, good living space is a priority so have fosused on 8 berth tents which give you that bit more space to swing a cat in than a 6 berth.
Because of my daughter's requirements I need a vis a vis sleeping arrangement which immediately started to limit options.
Having looked at the Vango Tigris 800, I liked the overall configuration but particularly the amount of living space.
Then we move on to budget and I'm afraid our budget is very tight, essentially limited to the money I have made from selling my Coleman Evolva and extras.
In conclusion, therefore, I have opted fro the Sunncamp Kansas which is essentially the Sunncamp Shadow 800 but produced exclusively for Outdoor Megastore with a higher HH rating of 3000 which for me would be the minimum I would accept.
By purchasing the OM loyalty card at £4.95 I can purchase the tent for £199 as opposed to £250 and the Verano canopy for £90; all in all a pretty reasonably specced outfit at a budget price.
Just waiting for the loyalty card to arrive and then I can get on and order.
You just can't beat the buzz of buying a new tent.
